Kaloud Krysails Calix Hookah

The Krysalis Calix is Kaloud's portable hookah. It has two hose ports and no stem to break. This listing is the hookah on its own. Bowl, heat management device, and hose are sold separately.

Most portable hookahs are a compromise you notice on the first pull. The Calix is short and wide rather than tall and thin, so the water sits directly under the bowl. There is less pipe for smoke to travel through and nothing fragile sticking up. It survives being packed.

Two hose ports

Both work. Run two hoses so nobody waits, or run one and cap the other. On a hookah this size, sharing is the normal case, which is presumably why Kaloud built it this way.

• Black hides marks and travels best.
• White is the sharpest looking and shows every fingerprint.
• Lucidity is clear. You watch the water work, and an LED lights the whole body instead of stopping at a wall.

What you still need

This is the hookah alone. To smoke you also need a bowl, a heat management device, and a hose. The Kaloud Samsaris Vitria III and Lotus III are cut for each other and are the intended pairing. The Aeolis hose completes it.

If you do not already own those, the Calix Set bundles all of them and works out cheaper than buying the parts one at a time.

Travelling with it

Empty the water completely before it moves, not most of it. Water left in a hookah in a car finds the hose port eventually and it finds it in someone's bag. Wrap a ceramic bowl separately.
