Frequently asked questions

What is palm nut soup?

A rich West African soup made from the cream of palm fruits. It's called abenkwan in Ghana and banga soup in Nigeria's Delta region.

Is palm nut concentrate the same as palm oil?

No. Palm nut concentrate is the cream extracted from whole palm fruits and is used as a soup base. Palm oil is the refined oil used for frying and cooking.

How much water do I add?

Usually 2 to 3 cans of water per can of concentrate. Use less for a thicker soup.
